Painting and Drawing & Transmedia Sculpture

Cary Frank was born in the flatlands and headed west at the age of three. Raised in the Rocky Mountains in a family with a tradition of artistry, he began painting and sculpting as a child alongside more regional art forms such as leatherwork and woodcarving. Over the years he has added many different materials, tools, and skill sets to his reservoir of creative ability. From his family members, he has received an extensive but informal education in many creative disciplines ranging from artistic masonry to poetry. His stylistic development has been influenced by the printed image, Ray Bradbury, the western landscape and its cultural history, and the legend of ElDorado. He is a bachelor of fine arts candidate at the college of arts and media, University of Colorado Denver. For the last several years he has been spending most of his time exploring the west and developing his artistic vision.
